Petrol subsidy Punjab uses one SMS this week. You send it to 9771. You put P in the message only when Punjab Excise owns the file.

Use the SIM that PTA tied to your CNIC. A brother’s phone will fail.
Keep the plate in front of you. Keep the Punjab registration date. Copy both from the smart card or book. Guessed dates fail as often as the wrong letter.

Try the date as DDMMYYYY first. If 9771 rejects it, send DD/MM/YYYY.

One confirmation SMS means Punjab registration is done. Do not send REG again. Send TOK when you need fuel after the Punjab pump date.

TOK at Punjab pumps
Registration only puts you on the list. The TOK SMS unlocks Rs 100 off at a Punjab pump.
Send TOK to 9771 before you leave home. Wait for the token. Then ride. A code you request at the nozzle can lag.
A bike, rickshaw, Qingqi, or Chingchi gets a 5-litre token. That slice saves Rs 500. You can draw it about once a week. A car up to 800cc gets a 10-litre token. That slice saves Rs 1,000. You can draw it about every 10 days.
Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, and Gujranwala follow the nationwide switch-on. That night is 16–17 September 2026. Do not treat Islamabad’s earlier night as your pump date. A token in Punjab before that window may not clear.
Two- and three-wheelers stop at 20 litres a month. Cars up to 800cc stop at 30 litres. Extra litres take the full board price.
Show the SMS. Check the litres. Check the Rs 100 cut. Keep the token until the receipt prints. The next box lists Punjab cities and that date in one place.
Punjab city and date box
Islamabad already switched on at midnight 14–15 September 2026. That night is not the Punjab date. Do not queue in Lahore on ICT timing.
Petrol subsidy Lahore start date is midnight 16–17 September 2026. The same night covers Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Bahawalpur. That is the answer to پنجاب میں کب سے.
You may send REG with code P before that night. Use TOK at a Punjab pump only after midnight on 16–17 September.
If your plate is Punjab but you fill in another province after that date, the token still follows the nationwide window. The letter P tracks the Excise file, not the pump city.

Maryam Nawaz April package (April 2026)
This block is the provincial package. It is not the September 9771 token how-to. Read it only if you still chase the April Maryam door.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced the Punjab bike relief on 3 April 2026. Applications were set to start 4 April. She offered 20 litres a month at Rs 100 off. She also waived motorcycle registration and transfer fees in Punjab.
Apply on those April channels only: call 1000, open the Maryam Ko Batayn app, or use mkb.punjab.gov.pk. Do not type an mkb password into an SMS. Do not send a 1000 complaint ID to 9771. Those systems do not talk to each other.

Scams targeting “Punjab subsidy”
Fraud ads lean on two names: Punjab and Maryam. Close both if they ask for money.
Fake mkb.punjab.gov.pk clones copy the portal and steal logins. Check the address before you type a CNIC. WhatsApp “Maryam quota agents” sell a bigger cap. They cannot raise 20 litres or 30 litres. Paid “9771 helpers” also lie. PM petrol subsidy registration on your own SIM is free.
Government staff will not call for an OTP. They will not charge a fee. Minister Shaza Fatima said the federal process takes no extra data and no payment.
Helpline 1000 is a Punjab phone line. It is not a chat where you hand OTPs to a stranger. If someone on 1000 asks you to install a random app or send a screenshot of your CNIC to WhatsApp, hang up.
